Tami Dzembo, owner of the Troy Bombers, tells me the restaurant employs 75 people. She is the first-ever franchisee of Bombers Burrito Bar founder Matt Baumgartner, who operates Bombers in Albany and Schenectady.
Conversations between the two regarding a franchise started five years ago.
Dzembo, 42, plans on a packed house from the beginning.
"We expect to kill it. It brings a great vibe, it brings new business and a lot of jobs," she says.
Construction on the 4,500-square-foot space took almost a year.
It's open 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday.
