Swisher Hygiene was founded in 1983 and began franchising in 1989. The Charlotte, North Carolina-based company has franchise units throughout the United States and internationally. Founded to provide restroom hygiene services, Swisher recently added commercial pest control to its offerings.
While working as a chimney cleaner, Kevin Clark was often asked to remove animals from chimneys. Seeing the need for such services, Clark formed Clark's Critter Control in 1983 to remove animals from attics, decks and other areas for pest control companies.
