About Oxford Learning Centres

Oxford Learning began in the mid-1980s when a team of education experts came together to create a unique learning program based on research into how children actually learn. Since then, Oxford Learning has grown to include more than 100 locations across Canada and the United States. Oxford Learning goes beyond tutoring to help students reach their learning potential, not just for one grade or one year but for a lifetime. Our unique programs teach children to learn how to learn. Just one to two hours a week can make a world of difference in developing the right skills and habits to succeed, no matter what the subject or the grade level, and breaking the cycle of hiring tutors year-after-year.

About Math Squared Education

In 1999, the founders of Math Squared, Henry Yang and Jean Tsai realized that most children were having difficulties with problem solving in mathematics and therefore started research about all kinds of math learning programs available. But they found a lot of programs were using the rote system and almost none focused on balancing computation, problem solving, critical thinking, logic, puzzle, geometry and other areas in math. In 2000, they gathered a group of professional engineers, psychologists, mathematicians and educators, in Silicon Valley, who have drawn upon their individual areas of expertise and collaborated to design this entirely new system of learning math for Pre-K to 6th grade. Since the company's inception, 15 centers have been established in the US operating with Math Squared's license program. To further their marketing efforts, they have collaborated with Smart Kids Corp for distribution of the licensees. The founder of Smart Kids, Perry Ho believes that math is more than just the computation; children should be able to think out of the box and be equipped to overcome further challenges. Perry has more than 10 years of working experience as a Program/Marketing Manager in AT&T Bell Labs. She has won the highest honor of Bells Labs President Award for outstanding work. She has been trained extensively by Math Squared trainer to become a Math Squared certified instructor. Perry has been a dedicated educator for several years.
