California Tortilla Launches "get In On It" Social Media Campaign

California Tortilla is encouraging its customers to "Get In On It" during the month of October, referring to its vast social media network. More than 100,000 subscribers to their Taco Talk newsletter, along with thousands of Burrito Elito Club members, Facebook friends and Twitter followers, will receive exclusive passwords every Wednesday this month. Those passwords are valid that day only for free and discounted menu items.

The company launched a Twitter account in 2008, taking home second place in the Shorty Awards, recognizing the best content providers on Twitter. As part of their Teriyaki Burrito special earlier this year, Twitter followers were invited to submit one-liners to be included in a fortune cookie that accompanied the limited time offer. One lucky winner had his tweeted message displayed in thousands of fortune cookies.
