Home Helpers Owner Sharon Clark Receives 2010 Businessperson of the Year Award

Sharon Clark, owner of Home Helpers of Shasta County, a senior care franchise specializing in non-medical and personal in-home care and companionship services, was named the 2010 Businessperson of the Year by the Redding Chamber of Commerce at its annual gala on February 4, 2011. The award recognizes Clark as a leader within the business community who helps bolster the local economy through job creation while addressing the community's needs.

"It is a tremendous honor to receive an award from my peers that recognizes our company's hard work and dedication to the local community over the past six years," said Clark, owner and CEO of Home Helpers of Shasta County. "When I opened Home Helpers, I knew I was providing a service that would benefit the many families in need of care for their loved ones as it is a situation that affects nearly everyone at some point in their lives." Since opening Home Helpers in 2004, Clark has made it her mission to provide quality care services to those in need of a helping hand while educating families in the local community how to handle a crisis situation that warrants immediate in-home care. Clark's Home Helpers agency began with three employees and currently employs more than 50 caregivers and provides services to more than 250 clients per month. Out of nearly 700 Home Helpers locations nationwide and internationally, Home Helpers of Shasta County is ranked in the top 10 percent for growth.

Services offered include companionship, bathing, meal preparation, dressing assistance, local transportation and light housekeeping.
