The development of new hotels in India is expected to create more than 10,000 new jobs in the hotels, Hyatt said. There are currently about 3,500 employees at Hyatt hotels in the country.

Chicago-based Hyatt returned to profitability in the fourth quarter, helped by a large gain from some property sales and improving demand. Both businesses and consumers have started to return to travel now that economic conditions are improving and consumer confidence is growing.
