Uno's Announces Winners Of 2011 Vendor Partner Awards

Uno's, the casual dining restaurant with a deep focus on both indulgent and nutritious and delicious menu options, recently announced the winners of its 2011 Vendor Partner Awards.

The announcement was made at Uno's Annual Conference in Savannah, Georgia, which was attended by 400 vendor partners, franchisees, franchise operators, Uno's general managers and corporate executives.

"We consider our vendors to be partners in our success," stated Frank Guidara, chief executive officer of Uno's. "These annual awards are one way to demonstrate how important they are and to thank them for all they do to help us create outstanding dining experiences for our guests." Winners were named the day after the announcement of the largest franchise deal in Uno's 68-year history for its new fast-casual concept, Uno Due Go (pronounced Uno do-ay go). The deal with Dallas-based FGR Food Corporation will establish 30 locations for Uno Due Go throughout Texas.

2011 Vendor Partner Awards Winners are: Vendor of the Year - Hormel Foods Hormel Foods Corporation is a multinational manufacturer and marketer of consumer-branded food and meat products.

Distributor of the Year - Perkins Perkins is New England's largest independent wholesale distributor of foodservice and sanitary maintenance supplies.

Beverage Supplier of the Year - MillerCoors MillerCoors is the second-largest beer company in America.

Spirit Supplier of the Year - Bacardi USA Bacardi U.S.A., Inc., is the United States import and distribution arm of one of the world's leading spirits and wine producers.

Wine Supplier of the Year- DFV Wines DFV wines are produced by the Indelicato family, which has been producing handcrafted wines for three generations.

Sales Person of the Year - Icelandic USA, Inc.

Icelandic Group provides high quality fresh and frozen seafood in North America, Europe and Asia.

Supportive Supplier of the Year - SLM Facility Solutions Nationwide Facilities Solutions Nationwide provides facility service solutions in the fields of trash/recycling, composting, grease trap pumping/jetting, plumbing, cooking oil removal, kitchen exhaust cleaning, lawn care, snow plowing and janitorial services.
