Domino's franchise owner honored

Brian Edler, owner of 11 Domino's pizza stores in Findlay and neighboring areas, was awarded the International Franchise Association Gold Franny Award for operational excellence. It is the most prestigious honor bestowed on a Domino's franchise owner. The awards are based on several key factors including operational audit scores, community involvement, store safety and security, and team member morale. Edler purchased his first Domino's in 1989 and has continued to grow his business and connect with the community in the Findlay area.

Hosler-Corbin Insurance Agency of Findlay has been named one of the Top 10 growth agencies for Auto-Owners Insurance in Ohio for 2014. Hosler-Corbin has represented Auto-Owners since 2002 and this is its second time to receive the recognition.

Six Disciplines Consulting Services, Findlay, won the Gold Award, Achievement of Excellence, representing the highest honor for performance excellence through innovation, results and visionary leadership using the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence. Six Disciplines"� achievement was announced by the Partnership for Excellence, which is Ohio, Indiana and West Virginia's Baldrige-based awards program. The Partnership for Excellence assists organizations using the internationally-recognized Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence. While eight other organizations from Ohio, Indiana and West Virginia won awards, Six Disciplines was the only one to receive the highest award. All of the applicants were evaluated by an independent board in seven areas: leadership; strategic planning; customer focus; measurement, analysis and knowledge management; workforce focus; operations focus; and results.

ARK Insurance Services of Findlay has earned the highest award from insurance carrier MutualAid eXchange (MAX). The MAX Premier Agency designation recognizes ARK's commitment to fair, faithful and socially responsible insurance coverage and business practices. To earn the award, ARK Insurance Services met MAX criteria: commitment to the values of treating others as you would like to be treated, faith in a higher power and doing good in the world; support for MAX's Mutual Aid Ministries program that provides emergency grants to faith communities, families and individuals who are facing extreme financial hardships; ambitious sales and retention targets.

Blanchard Valley Hospital Laboratory has received accreditation from the College of American Pathologists. It has been accredited by the group since 1997. The lab's recent accreditation is the result of a successful on-site inspection. The accreditation process is designed to ensure the highest standard of care for all laboratory patients. Inspectors examine the laboratory's records and quality control procedures for the preceding two years, as well as laboratory staff qualifications, equipment, facilities, safety program and record, and overall management.
