Christian Brothers Automotive franchise opens in Avon

Avon motorists have another option for their auto repair and maintenance needs with a new Christian Brothers Automotive franchise at 1110 Nagel Road.

The business opened its doors May 15 and currently has four employees with hopes to expand in the near future. The full service business combines honesty and integrity with a penchant for state of the art automotive technology, for a customized experience, said franchise owner/operator Kevin Kaschube.



Franchisee Kevin Kaschube, of Avon Lake, is the second to open a Christian Brothers Automotive full-service center in the Cleveland market. The 1110 Nagel Road business in Avon joins Broadview Heights to become part of the Houston-based franchise family.

There has been overwhelming support from the local community, Kaschube said, and he is excited to be part of Christian Brothers Automotive's Ohio expansion. "Avon has been amazing and I really enjoy being part of the community and being able to serve our guests," he said. The Avon site is the Houston-based company's second location in the Cleveland market. The Broadview Heights store opened about two months ago. After working as a BMW technician for three years, Kaschube, a native of Parma, returned to the area and spent six years as an electrical engineer for Arcelor Mittal Steel in Cleveland, which he said gave him the opportunity to complete his MBA at Berea's Baldwin-Wallace University.

Kaschube, now a resident of Avon Lake, said he developed a business plan as part of his MBA thesis. In researching the industry, he said he was introduced to the corporate team of Christian Brothers Automotive. Appreciating the company's values of honesty and integrity, he signed on as a franchisee and the project has been in the works since 2014. "I've always been an automotive guy with a passion for the automotive industry, and I wanted to do something fun," Kaschube said. "So I wrote my own business plan for an automotive repair shop. And that was kind of the genesis for Christian Brothers Automotive Avon." Christian Brothers Automotive is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday-Friday, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturdays. Founded in 1982, Christian Brothers Automotive has locations in 22 states across the country and operates on the guiding principle of "love thy neighbor as yourself."
